Jamaican Callaloo:
Ital Recipe

  • In pot, add:
  • Several tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Small piece of scotch bonnett pepper
  • Chopped scallion
  • Thyme
  • 1/2 package dry chicken noodle soup
  • 1 tomatoe chopped fine
  • 1 bunch of callaloo, chopped medium (may substitute with spinach or other green)

Cook a short time, stir and serve with roast breadfruit, bammy, fried dumplings or boiled dumplings.
